Week 3.2 Cheltenham Races and Why The Guinness Tastes Better Here

The article I've been tackling for the past week or so finally came together today.  Just as all the pieces started to fall into place - a really wonderful feeling-- the sun came out from behind a rain cloud-- another really wonderful feeling.  After finishing that up, we headed into town to our nice pub to watch today's Cheltenham races.  I'm not entirely sure why but racing is different here-- maybe it's a different sort of understanding of horses.  I've been quite captivated.  Today I got Dale to place a wager for me at the betting shop.  Two euro on the beautiful Cue Card who won a really exciting race. I won 9 euro! Woo!  And, also, we saw this van near our grocery store: the Guinness Quality Team.  You have to love a brewery that has a traveling Quality Team.  Tomorrow we're off to Inishturk Island and I'm not sure how their wireless situation will be so I may be offline.  Thanks for reading and thanks for the nice comments.

Wonderful photographs and stories. We feel that we're in Ireland too.
