I'll admit, I was a little cranky earlier today. I'm working on an invited article on a subject that makes me a little peevish, maybe more than a little peevish. It's not on a topic I would have selected myself at this particular moment but it will be okay. I think I'm very close to a complete full draft but I'm still not sure about it. The sun was peeking out here and there and so I headed off to the Westport House park for a run to clear my head after lunch (it's a lovely 5K if you do a loop or two around the house). By the time I hit the sidewalk, I felt better instantly. I had to stop early on to take the first picture, hoping this canoe-like vessel is not the Irish Coast Guard. Today on my loop around the big house, I saw a sign that said "Riverwalk" and that took me on a really pretty little circle along the river and back. The next two photos are from around that little loop. After my lovely run, I was in a fantastic mood and sat down to do another work task that turned out to be more frustrating than it should have been. After an hour, I once again took to the landscape and again felt instantly better. We walked into town for dinner and went along the Greenway listening to the stonechats sing. The last photo is of Croagh Patrick under cloud as the sun started to set. Have I mentioned lately that I love it here?
