Oh my poor neglected blog, I am back.

A few months ago, a friend noted "you're not taking pictures anymore" and then asked "what's wrong?" Since January 1st, I've been working on another daily project that's taking up the little energy I seem to have at the end of the work day. Somehow, mentally, the space isn't there to work on photos, this project and also keep my job. I remember doing Today Photo with Alec and loved doing it: but I also remember how much time it took every day. Even though it felt great to make myself spend the time doing something I loved, it was difficult to summon the time needed to do that project well. It also meant, I wasn't working on other things. Since January 1, I have been using the scraps of time I have on another project.
Still, I have missed taking photos very much. When Sue mentioned her new project, I was keen to sign on. I signed up for the every other week photo project. Every other week, there's a theme for a photo and that seemed like a good and welcome prompt for me. The first theme is Dining Out and, rather than leaving it at a single shot every other week, I thought I'd play around with the theme for those 2 weeks and post some of the photos on this blog. The impulse behind TodayPhoto is still strong: it's just taking different paths lately. It feels good to dust off things at the Cafe and get going on another project. Welcome back. Latte?
