I was walking along in Comerica Park yesterday and a woman said "Watch out for the praying mantis!!" I must have looked confused and alarmed (as well one might) because she said, 'No, really. Look!" Sure enough, there was a praying mantis at Comerica Park. I got some photos before a park employee scooped him/ her up and sent him/ her on his/ her merry way. I've never seen a praying mantis before, except for Zorak on Space Ghost. More photos of it on Ye Olde Flickr Site.

Baseball Bug
