Melville, Mudville, March

Good friends are hard enough to find but finding a good friend who likes both the Tigers and Melville is a rare and welcome thing. This particular friend said to me, "If you start Moby Dick the first week of March, by the time you finish it, it's opening day!" And so, I find myself re-reading Moby Dick on the first day of March and looking forward to opening day. Seeking out my dusty copy, I was amused to see the various copies of Moby Dick that I have acquired over the years (all, I believe, from D). In honour of Melville, baseball, and those who love both, here's a small gallery of Moby images from my collection.
